ActoGeniX is a biopharmaceutical company focused on the development and commercialization of a new generation of biological drugs called ActoBiotics™.
ActoBiotics™ can be orally administered and target receptors and pathways in the gastrointestinal tract. This novel class of biopharmaceuticals has the potential to treat a broad range of severe diseases, including gastrointestinal diseases, metabolic diseases, immune disorders and allergies. ActoBiotics™ are created using TopAct™, ActoGeniX's versatile and proprietary technology platform.
ActoGeniX's initial focus is on areas with unmet need in gastrointestinal diseases. Our lead product for the treatment of Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis has been successfully tested in a Phase 1 clinical trial and will soon be evaluated in Phase 2 clinical studies.
ActoGeniX is headquartered in Ghent (Belgium) and has established a worldwide network of collaborations with leading clinicians and academic institutions.
